Healthy feet all around: Our selection for your foot health
They are the foundation of our body: our feet. Healthy feet are the prerequisite for the well-being of our entire body. Every day they carry our entire body weight and enable us to walk, run or jump. That's why you should take good care of these often neglected body parts.
Foot reflexology, toe training and foot and ankle mobilization are just a few examples of activities that are especially good for your feet. And with us, you'll find the right tools for the job!
Would you like to know more about this exciting topic and find out which tools you can use to promote your foot health? We'll enlighten you and introduce the favorites of our DOSB physiotherapist Siegfried Breitenbach!
Why are healthy feet so important?
Our feet carry us thousands of kilometers through life and have to endure a lot in the process. If something is wrong with our feet, it usually affects our entire body. Dysbalances and imbalances can lead to pain in the knee, back or hip area, and can also cause headaches and, in the long run, lead to foot malformations. This chain of dysfunctions, i.e. problems that originate, for example, in the feet and subsequently affect other parts of the body, is called dysfunctions caused by "ascending chains". If the foundation is not correct, this results in incorrect movements in the rest of our body.
Why reflexology is so important for foot health
Reflexology is based on the assumption that our feet are connected to all organs and zones of our body through reflexive connections. The soles of the feet can be divided into different areas, the so-called reflex zones. Each of these areas is connected to a different part of our body and can be addressed by a pressure massage on the respective spot. Massaging the big toe, for example, can help with headaches, and massaging the heel, in turn, can help alleviate pain in the back.
But reflexology is said to have even more positive properties: it not only relieves physical pain, but also stimulates our body's self-healing powers, promotes blood circulation and improves our mental well-being.
The most common malformations and foot injuries are a:
- Splayfoot
- Flatfoot
- High arch
- Bending foot
- Hallux valgus bunion
It is also particularly common to have inflammation of the tendon plate on the bottom of the foot, called plantar fasciitis, which brings pain to the heel and sole of the foot. If you want to treat plantar fasciitis, then we recommend our foot trainers for stretching (especially the longitudinal arch of the foot) and massaging, such as the Triggerdinger foot wrap or the HighHealer.
How can I prevent foot issues?
- Regular foot training
- Trigger point and foot reflexology massage
- Walking barefoot
- Suitable shoes with a wide toe (the toes should not be squeezed)
- Balance training
- Alternating foot baths
You're probably wondering now why you don't actually pay a little more attention to your feet more often and how you can find your personal routine to do something for your foot health? No problem! We'll walk you through our perfect "Healthy Feet Day" to give you some inspiration!
Get foot trainer and other products for your foot health
We want to show you how you can easily integrate our tools into your everyday life, without much effort - chronologically from morning to night: get up, go to work, do sports and spend the evening on the couch. You'll see: keeping your feet healthy can be so easy!
Foot reflexology massage after getting up
The Kone X-Active Mat makes reflexology a breeze, and it doesn't take much effort! Simply place the acupressure mat in the bathroom and step back and forth on the soothing massage nubs while you get ready for the day, or just stand on it. It addresses the sensitive nerve endings on the bottom of your feet, activating the autonomic nervous system. With the Kone-X Active Mat you can quickly revive your inactive foot reflex zones - the perfect start to the day! And by the way: The stimulated reflex zones also make fitness exercises with bands or dumbbells much more effective! Even at work under the desk or while ironing, the mat can be used perfectly!
Lasso socks: trendy compression socks for every day
The classic sports compression socks can now pack up! Because the Lasso socks are the first compression socks with additional joint support for everyday use. The structure of the breathable cotton fabric is based on a taping system and ensures optimum stability with every movement: Whether walking, running, jumping or doing physical work. The patented compression technology avoids and reduces swelling, so they are also particularly suitable for prolonged activities in a sitting or standing position and perfect for long trips.
Foot mobilization during lunch break
Relaxed feet in 10 minutes? That's no problem with the handy Triggertools Triggerdinger Füßling. Just pack them in your bag and treat your tense feet - whenever and wherever you want, so they are perfect for the office or for use during your lunch break. With the HighHealer you can massage the soles of your feet superficially while sitting or standing, stretching and preparing them for the punctual massage with the Füßling. As with all other trigger things, the shape of the Füßling is based on that of a thumb. This " accentuation " makes it possible to treat the musculature particularly purposefully. In this way, trigger points in the foot can be easily released. By the way: The Füßling is available in the original version as well as the Füßling Soft.
