Portable surface EMG with real-time biofeedback
Verbal corrections alone are often not enough to bring about lasting changes in movement quality. The K-Myo makes muscle activity visible to both the therapist and the patient as a real-time visual signal. This EMG biofeedback displays activation, timing, and intensity directly on the screen. Compensatory patterns and side differences become apparent through real-time EMG monitoring before they become clinically relevant.
Combining EMG and Force Measurement
A muscle that is activated does not necessarily generate the expected force. If both parameters are considered separately, potential correlations may be overlooked. The K-Myo can be combined with other Kinvent measurement systems, such as the K-Push, to simultaneously record muscle activation and force output. Multi-channel EMG measurement allows for the assessment of multiple muscle groups, making it ideal for EMG-assisted rehabilitation and sports.
