With reduced elasticity!
With the K-Active Tape Sport Nitto Denko has developed an extraordinarily effective tape, which structures and fasciae effectively
"informed" and supported. Due to the reduced elasticity of the cotton fabric and a high-performance adhesive, the K-Active Tape Sport is particularly suitable for demanding loads
for dynamic activities.
More sensory information
The modified tape properties support stability and coordination and can be used prophylactically in sports.
Best price-performance ratio!
Advantages
- increased mechanical support for body structures and functions
- well suited for "more mechanical" special techniques
- economical for short term installations

Stability Meets Dynamic Movement
In sport, you need freedom of movement, but also security.
Rigid tape provides strong support, but limits flexibility. Kinesiology tape is dynamic, yet doesn't always offer enough stability.
K-Active® Tape Sport is designed to strike exactly this balance. Its reduced elasticity provides greater stability and guidance, while also delivering enhanced sensory feedback for proprioception. This can improve coordination and movement control in dynamic situations, helping to create a secure, supportive feel without restricting your range of motion.
Perfect for athletes and therapists who are looking for a tape with clearly noticeable support.
Suitable For a Wide Range of Users
K-Active® Tape Sport is designed for different user groups. Athletes in dynamic sports such as football, basketball, handball, or volleyball benefit in particular, as jumping, stopping, and rapid changes of direction place high demands on joint stability.
Therapists also use the tape specifically for stabilizing techniques to help patients regain confidence and security in their movements. Strength and CrossFit athletes value the additional guidance for wrists, knees, or thumbs during lifts without restricting freedom of movement.
Thanks to its attractive price point, the tape is also ideal for users who need to change tape frequently, for example when re-taping after every training session.
The Technology Behing the Tape
The reduced stretch provides stronger mechanical support and delivers more intense stimulation to the skin's receptors. This gives the body more precise feedback about joint position and movement. A key factor in improving stability and ensuring controlled, confident movement patterns.
The material properties of K-Active® Tape Sport are professional-grade. A densly woven, breathable cotton fabric ensures high wearing comfort, while its water and air permeability allow for optimal circulation and prevent heat buildup. The hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive, applied in a sinusoidal pattern, is especially skin-friendly and activated by body heat, ensurng reliable adhesion even when exposed to sweat or water.
As a result, the tape remains comfortable to wear and fully functional, even under high physical stress.
More Support, More Control and Maximum Value
K-Active® Tape Sport is the perfect choice for anyone looking for greater stability, a more precise movement feel, and an attractive pric. Especially in the early stages of injury or during periods of high physical demand, it provides targeted joint support, limits unwanted movement, and gives athletes a clear, stable, and secure feeling in motion. This helps rebuild confidence in movement and gradually increase load capacity.
It combines dynamic freedom with supportive stability like no other tape in its category, delivering exactly the feedback you need to control your performance safely, confidently, and with full focus. In training as well as in competition.
K-Active® Tape Sport - stability in motion.

More Information About K-Active® Tape Sport:
Especially under the high loads on wrestling mats, K-Active® Tape Sport with its reduced elasticity is indispensable for my professional wrestlers and for me.
Häufig gestellte Fragen:
Tape Sport was created to bridge the gap between classic kinesiology tape and rigid athletic tape. Many users were looking for a tape that offers more stability, guidance, and sensory feedback than conventional kinesiology tape, while still remaining flexible enough to not restrict natrual movement dynamics.
Another key reason was high demand for a mored economical tape specifically designed for short-term use or for applications only during physical activity.
Thanks to its excellent value for money, K-Active® Tape Sport is ideal for:
- Targeted use exclusively during training or competition
- Frequent tape changes, for example after each session
- Situations where a tape needs to provided intensive support but does not have to be worn long-term
More stability, a better movement feel, and cost-effective use. Exactly what many athletes and therapists were looking for.
Rigid athletic tape and kinesiology tape persue different goals and work in completely different ways.
Rigid athletic tape (0% elasticity)
- Immobilizes or severly limits movement
- May protect against twisting through structural support
- Mainly used in competition for joint stability
- Air- and waterproof, but not comfortable for long-time wear
Kinesiology tape
- Supports movement rather than blocking it
- Works through skin stimulation and proprioceptive feedback
- May promote circulation, lymphatic flow, and muscle activation
- Breathable, skin-friendly, and werable for several days
K-Active® Tape Sport sits exactly in between:
It offers more stability than classic kinesiology tape. without the disadvantages of rigid atheltic tape, such as restricted freedom of movement or lack of breathablitiy.
No, absolutely not. Taper differ significantly in terms of:
- Elasticity
- Material quality (cotton fabric vs. synthetic materials, density, breathability)
- Adhesive technology (skin compatibility, durability)
- Intended purpose (stabilization, functional support, immobilization)
K-Active® relies on high-quality materials, skin-friendly acrylic adhesive, and precisely defined elasticity paameters to ensure a consistent and reliable effect.
A tape with reduced elasticity behaves very differently from a high elasticity tape. Rigid athletic tape, in turn, serves an entirely different function altogether.
In general, taping should not be applies to areas that are damaged, irritated, or medically contraindicated. This includes:
- Open wound, fresh injuries, or unhealed scars
- Skin infections, rashes, eczema, or fungal infections
- Severely irritated or burned skin (e.g. sunburn)
- Areas that are already inflamed or showing allergenic reactions
- Skin areas with significant swelling of unknown origin
- Varicose veins or known vascular conditions, unless medically cleared
- Tumor areas or skin over known growths
- Directly over large hematomas, especially if pressured sensitivity is present
- Areas with impaired sensation where the user lacks normal skin perception
- Injured structures already under tension without therapeutic assessment
- On the neck over the main carotid artery, especially with strong tension
- In case of known adhesive allergies, particularly to acrylic adhesion
In addition the following applies:
- During pregnancy, with lymphatic disorders, or with heart conditions, taping should always be discussed with a therapist or physician beforehand
- Kinesiology tape does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment
In acute phases, rigid athletic tape is often used to ensure maximum stability.
As healing progresses and load capacity increases, the transition is made to K-Active® Tape Sport, which continues to provide support while allowing for grater functional movement.
In later rehabilitation phases, kinesiology tape complements the process by delivering sensory feedback and supporting active movement.
