BSN Leukotape Foam – customizable padding material
BSN® Leukotape® Foam is a flexible padding material made of textile-laminated latex foam. It can be cut to size and adapted to any body contour—whether to fill in hollows, relieve pressure on sensitive areas, or apply targeted increased pressure beneath compression bandages.
For years, this material has been a trusted aid for precise pressure modulation in acute care, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and lymphatic therapy. Each sheet measures 20 × 30 cm with a thickness of approximately 4 mm, contains natural rubber latex, and is intended for single use.

Increasing Pressure and Providing Cushioning for Sports Injuries
In the acute management of sports injuries, Leukotape® Foam is used to enhance the compression effect and counteract swelling through targeted pressure application. Thanks to its flexibility, it can be applied neatly to highly contoured areas such as ankles, wrists, or upper arms.
L- and U-shaped cutouts are effective for the ankle joint, as they leave the ankle bone itself free while increasing compression in the surrounding area. Around the kneecap, circular cutouts relieve pressure on the patella, whereas for muscle injuries, multiple concentric circles create a graduated pressure distribution over the tissue.
Swelling Management in Rehabilitation and Lymphatic Therapy
In rehabilitation, Leukotape® Foam supports the controlled reduction of swelling. When combined with compression bandages, it allows for the regulation of local pressure and complements lymphatic and edema therapies—particularly following surgery, injuries, or extended periods of immobilization.
Its ability to be individually customized makes this padding material a valuable addition to physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Depending on the type of dressing, the duration of application ranges from one day to one week.
Ointment dressings and local application of active ingredients
Thanks to specific cut-outs, Leukotape® Foam also serves as a carrier material for ointment dressings. This allows active ingredients to be concentrated precisely on a specific area of the body and secured in place with a dressing or compression system.
