Special course Taping for horses

Take the opportunity to help horses prophylactically and holistically. The effective K-Active Taping method is used to help reduce injuries and diseases, almost without any side effects. The tape helps take the effects of a therapists´ hands home, prolonging and enhancing the effects of many therapies.

The course will introduce the history and the philosophy of the experienced K-Active method, before the four basic techniques are taught. The characteristics of applying the tapes to horses will then be presented and their practical implementation in everyday life will be trained. K-Active taping is applicable in almost all medical fi elds of horse therapy and is almost without any side effects. Many other methods of treatment can be optimized thereby effectively.

Content of Special course Taping for horses

  • History of Kinesiology Taping & philosophy of K-Active®
  • Introduction to the tensegrity model and fascial research
  • Material properties of the K-Active® Tapes and the differences from the traditional sports tape
  • Basic techniques of the K-Active® Taping (muscle, ligament, fascia and correction technique) applied at humans and horses

  • Specialties of applying the tapes at horses & specific applications

  • Practice the different techniques of the K-Active Taping (muscle, ligament, fascia and correction technique) by using selected indications at humans and horses

  • Training anamnesis as well as diagnosis – survey on horses through adspection and palpation
  • Present the Kinesiology color test at horses
  • Transfer of these basic techniques in frequently occurring overloads, injuries and diseases
  • Practice the interaction of two or more people (later the horse owners) in the normal tape application or if a pre-stretch of tissues is neccessary or in case of nervous horses
