HipTrac™

HipTrac is a robust, lightweight and portable traction device for the hip joint. The hip joint can be positioned in 0°, 10°, 20° and 30° flexion. The Abduction is individually selectable. The traction force is adjusted with a hand pump and transmitted via two cuffs, which are attached above the ankle and knee joint. The intensity can be read off a display on the pump.

All hip problems, especially arthrosis, are a growing problem for people. Manual tractions of this joint are used by athletes and patients as very beneficial and can often significantly improve the painful or movement-restricting condition.

With HipTrac™, a device has been developed which can also perform this beneficial traction. Thus, this device is available as an apparative therapy for medical personnel in hospitals, in Rehabilitation facilities or in practices as an apparative therapy. In addition, the device can also be used effectively for self-treatment at home.
